Southern Transfigurations (2004): Melancholic black-and-white photographs from southern countries, with cypresses, forgotten statues, and Mediterranean myths. The photographs from this cycle are painted in Jan Suk’s book of essays entitled Rats in Hadrian’s Villa (Krysy v Hadrianově vile). The book won a Magazín fotografie prize in the category ‘Literature Illustrated with Photography’. |
