Fortress / The Stone Star Terezín (2000-2002): A large-scale cycle of colour-toned photographs from the Late Baroque fortress in Terezín, which was a Jewish ghetto in the Second World War. The photographs depict this immense military structure in all its beauty and decay, at a time when it no longer serves a strategic purpose and is becoming a world of shadows into which nature and flowing time have made a bold entrance. This cycle on Terezín has been published in book form as an artistic monograph by Petra Růžičková called Fortress (Kant, 2003).
